Recommended budget hotel

The hotel is a few steps away from the main station. The staff is helpful and friendly (they just hired some English speaking staff). The check-in is fast and smooth. The rooms are mostly clean, and spacious enough. It's quiet and dark in the night, so one can have a good sleep. Beds are comfortable. The wifi works well. There's a desk where you can use your laptop. They provide basic toiletries and water. The aircon works well. The price is by far the most competitive in Tainan.

I've stayed at Tie Dao hotel many times (you can see my many reviews) because it's very near to the main station and to the University. The hotel is an old and dark hotel but they are striving to improve, and they are improving. They hired some young, and very helpful English speaking receptionists. They provide free coffee. They have a spacious and sunny lobby where one can read and work.

Excellent location for travelers directly opposite the train station. Bus stops right next to the hotel. Large room with storage space. Helpful staff.

Excellent ! Especially the service !

The room I stayed in was one without windows, but it was brightly lighted, the bed was comfortable and big, and staffs very helpful and friendly all the time to everyone, even when you didn't request the help. They are very considerate for their guests.

I personally didn't like the grey-painted wall, it kinds of give a feeling of living underground when your room has no windows and the walls are painted grey, but it is purely my personal preference. But their rooms are painted in different colors so do talk to them before you check-in if you have a preference, they are very helpful in doing their best to accommodating guests' requests.

Convenient location, low price, can only recommend!

It's right next to the mainstation, very convenient for those who plan to take the train or a bus to another city, cheap price, clean room, huge bathroom, comfy bed, it has a 7/11 on the ground floor, also staff is polite and helpful, 24/7 reception

Clean, comfortable and good location.

Great location, right opposite Tainan train station. Newly renovated, clean and smoke-free.

Not quite soundproof. Could hear noises made by children of other guests. Also could hear noises from late night revellers downstairs, as our room was on the 3rd floor.

Affordable and accessible

The hotel is easy to find and very accessible. It's walking distance from the train and bus station. There's 7-Eleven store on the ground floor and more food shops nearby. Highly-recommended hotel if you are on a tight budget.

Great location right in centre of Tainan near train station and buses. Room was clean and had amenities. Bathroom was clean. Great for a few nights stay.

Large old room. Good location near train station and within walking distance (20mins) of museums

There was no shower curtain and no control over the air conditioning.

Good Location, Staffs are friendly and helpful.

There were some hair on the sheet they have managed to get it changed straightway. The toilet was blocked didn't flushing.

Amazing price/quality ratio!

Been using booking.com for over ten years now and I can't believe I paid less than 20 SGD for the quality/size/location/amenities of this room. Unparalleled in my experience travelling in 4 continents. The view from the room is nice; it's clean; staff is good; with fridge and cable TV, and the very central location just minutes walk from the train station. All these for S$18.36!! Craziness at its best

The whole building needs an upgrade, so do parts of the room. But even with those considerations, the room is worth 2 or 3 times more.

the second time we check in is the best very clean and not smells bad

I like the cleanliness of the location when we go there second time.

the first time we go there the beddings , the pillows, the smells like old man the 2 twin bed so we cannot sleep. i don't know if they clean it up all spray some air freshener. and second time we check in the room is not ready yet we still wait outside because staff still cleaning the room.
